SmokiesApp was built by people who grew up in the Great Smoky Mountains. Between us, we've guided auto tours and hikes through these mountains, and our families have worked in Smokies tourism for three generations. This is home, not a market.
Three generations in these mountains
Our roots here run deep. Our grandparents, our parents, and now us have all made a living showing people why this place is worth the trip. We learned the backroads, the overlooks, and the local spots the long way: by being out here every season for decades.
We built the app we always wished we had
Every time we traveled somewhere new, we wanted what we already had at home: a local who knows where to eat, what to skip, and what's happening tonight. Tourism sites go stale the moment they're published. The people actually out on the trails and Main Street know what's true right now, and that is what we set out to capture.
